Another mystery about high school math teacher Bonnie Pinkwater by the author of Witch of Agnesi. Like the others in this series, this is a murder mystery with adult themes (violence, homosexuality, etc.) in which we learn a little bit about famous female mathematicians from history (more than usual this time, in the form of a quiz) and one of those biographies vaguely inspires the solution of the mystery.

High school math teacher, Bonnie Pinkwater, is back to solve the murder of a beloved high school hero and prom king who became the town pariah after admitting he is gay at graduation. She gets help and plenty of clever banter from her Principal, Lloyd Whittaker, there are subplots surrounding her new boyfriend, Armen, and a crisis in Principal Whittaker's marriage.
